| ABOUT AKIM |
|
Akim was born on 3d of June 2002 in Moscow. This was the first litter in Russia born from two UK import dogs - Int Ch Rynosera Olly Alexander and Ch Sanquirico Armageddon. The owner of this pair didn't have her affix for that moment so Akim and his littermates were given an affix of the friend of her "Strong Stael".
We didn't have any special plans about a dog as just lost our Perro Dogo Mallorquin boy a year before in a young age due to illness and felt really sad and unsure about new dog in our house. I find Akim dad - Olly on the cover of Dogs Magazine, readthe article about staffords and found it interesting enough to pick up the phone and call Elena Solodukhova to ask if she has any puppy plans. Elena had a puppy from Olly and some bitch for sale and we went to take a look.
We were smashed with an Olly look but didn't like the pup much, went home and forgot about the dog.
A year later I decided we should take a second chance and called Elena again. She was extremely kind to us letting me know that
she is having a litter from her own uk import bitch now and yes, she remember us and yes, we are welcome to come.
There were 3 dogs and 1 bitch in the litter, Akim had a nickname "Orange-Head" due to his look and stole my heart.
He was growing up in a healthy, fatty, funny boy when we took him to Elena at 8 months to show and to compare to her other dogs if "he looks good". Well, he did. I took Elena over a year to introduce us into showing.
But it was well worth it. Akim happened to be the first Russian Stafford to travel all over the Europe and the list of his titles speak for himself.
I'd like to say thank you to all the people working with him and special THANK YOU to my friend Yana Streltsova who handled him in his last years. That was a handling second to none.
However, Akim is not only a show dog, but a beloved member of the family and a remarkable FRIEND and i'd like to say a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to his actual breeder - Elena Solodukhova, as without You we will never have an opportunity to share our life with such a wonderfull boy
